Can't Uninstall AVG

I have been trying to uninstall AVG free edition,,,plan to use another antivirus program since avg let me down and I got a nasty trojan.

Problem is that it won't let me uninstall,,says c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows apps. Have tried to reinstall the antivirus to see if the uninstall is annoyed or something but I get the same error message when I try to reinstall.

It was actually a problem with the autoexec.nt file,,not the avg per se. I had to make a copy of the file from window\repair and put it into the system32 folder,,,then the program uninstalled as it should.

Now I'm Happy! :)

Not Impressed With AVG 7.0

I am aware that virus protection software, like condoms, aren't perfect, but I really don't expect them to be, but the erros being caused by AVG 7.0 in Microsoft Office Outlook and on startup, (says I have a trojan that has been removed for some time, and I've confirmed this)have been driving me bonkers.
Also I found several things on my pc that AVG had overlooked.
AVG has rated 3rd (Bronze) at Anti Virus Software Reviews 2004 which really makes me wonder.
I found out here

When you try install the trial version of the Grisoft "AVG 6.0 Anti Virus System" program, your computer may become unstable, and you may receive the following error message:
Crash caused by wndproc = 0x771c887f = "ole32!OleMainThreadWndProc" (Unicode) Class(V): 0xc038, (NV): 0xc038 Name:"OleMainThreadWndClass
If the error message is still displayed and you want to see the data that the error report contains, click the click here link at the bottom of the message box. You may then see error signature information that is similar to the following:

App name App version Module name Module version Offset
avgw.exe avgw.exe 00020a23

This issue may occur because the trial version of the "AVG 6.0 Anti Virus System" program is not completely compatible with Windows XP.
To resolve this issue, obtain and install a version of the "AVG 6.0 Anti Virus System" program that is completely compatible with Windows XP. For information about how to do so, please visit the following Grisoft Web site:

Her Message:

they posted a comment to my blog asking me to check out their flat screen tvs.

i am vey much against spam, my blog is my personal area, and i find it very offensive for someone to post spam to my blog. i am hoping that you are serious about your TOS and that you don't support someone violating other people's personal space with something akin to graffiti.

thanks sincerely,

Some may feel that I am over-reacting to this a bit, judging by the links on GOOGLE, when I performed a search using the keywords: blog, comment, spam, this is happening to to other bloggers quite abit.

Perhaps I am making a big deal over this, it could be the Hydracodone of course that I'm taking due to having a wisdom tooth pulled today. (Hydrocodone makes me EXTREMELY emotional), but I do beleieve these people who think they are entitled to scrawl all over people's blogs, should be made to pay for advertising space. Getting free advertising at the expense of other is wrong. Spammers Should Be Shot!
